I was watching a post fight interview with Jacob Volkmann and apparently part of the pre-fight UFC 141 pep talk Dana gave the boys was telling them that the only reason that Donald Cerrone is getting a title shot was because he finishes fights.
I'm not sure if this is official UFC policy but I like that idea. It's a good way to reward the guys who don't want the fight to go to the judges. Those are the fights I want to see.

Cerrone lost and he still gets a title shot over Diaz? I don't agree with that at all.
But, I do like the policy of giving the more exciting fighters title shots over the ones that simply point their way to victory. Does this mean that GSP is going to retroactively lose his title now?

i dont agree with how ufc manages title shots. seems like if you make a name for yourself, then you get the shots quicker and more often. Guillard got screwed in the lightweight division. how many fights do some guys got to win to get one?

There is one universal truth with the UFC and Pro Wrestling ... It is all about who can draw money.
